Monday and Tuesday: Essay by Atwood "Amnesty International" and ISU assignment explained. Wednesday and Thursday: Essay by Llosa "With Pens Drawn" and ISU reading Friday: Stephen King essay "Why We Crave Horror Movies" Today we will be working dissecting the Mannes essay "How do you know it's good?". We will also do a lesson on how to analyze an essay through 2 different methods.
Today we will be reading "How Do You Know it's Good" By Mannes. We will discuss and look over the methods for finding a thesis statement and analyzing an essay.
Your "Morality of Conviction" is due today and your personal essay is due tomorrow. Today we will discuss "The Morality of Conviction" and you will have time to work on your personal essay which is due Thursday!
Tomorrow we will move on and read a new article. Today we will read an essay called "The Morality of Conviction" and discuss.
You will be given time to do the essay breakdown for that essay and time to work on your personal essay. Remember, your personal essay is due on Thursday!!! It's Friday!!! Yahoo!!! We made it through our first week!!
Today we are going to be discussing the Atwood essay as a class. I will be handing out the Personal Essay assignment which will be due on THURSDAY next week. If time remains, we will read the essay titled "The Morality of Conviction" Have a lovely weekend! Today you will hand in your analysis of the Rick Mercer article. Next we will review the handout "How to Analyze an Essay" and then we will read the essay "Ka-Ching" by Margaret Atwood.
