Happy Friday Y'all!!!! Today we are going to work on the questions for Act 1 and we will finish reading the act with scene 5 on Monday. We will also watch this clip from Friends that emphasizes what I was talking to you about earlier in the week about writing. ENJOY! Today we will be reading through Act 1 scenes 3 and 4.
You will complete the questions for these two scenes (3 total) and hand them in for assessment tomorrow at the end of class. Since so many of you are away tomorrow (Friday), we are going to hold off on reading Act 1 scene 5 until Monday. This means that your first Act quiz will be on Tuesday of next week. For those of you off tomorrow on the field trip, I hope you have an awesome time and I'll see you all next week! Today we will read through scene 3 and possibly 4, depending on the time.
You will have to work through the questions as well for each scene. Tomorrow we will continue reading the Act. Today we will be reading Act 1, sc 2. We will take up the questions from the first scene and work through the questions for the second scene.
Today we will be reading Act 1, sc 1 from Hamlet.
You will need to complete the questions for this scene as well. Remember, if you have difficulty understanding, ASK QUESTIONS, and re-read and if all else fails, go to No Fear Shakespeare and read the translation for clarification. Don't get behind. Ask questions! :) Welcome back!
I hope you all enjoyed your March Break! This week we will begin our Hamlet unit. We will also start working on grammar lessons a little more frequently, now that I've marked your first essays and journals and can see where we need to focus our efforts. This week
Monday: work period for Poetry Presentation and Journal assignment Tuesday: Poetry Presentations Wednesday: Poetry Presentations Thursday: Overview of ISU Seminar, review of Poetry Friday: ISU Journals DUE Whoops! Haven't posted all week! It's been a bit of a wild week around these parts. My apologies.
On Monday: You completed (or hopefully completed!) a peer edit of your style analysis On Tuesday: We talked about Protest poetry and looked closely at two different poems. We also went over the Protest Poetry group project. On Wednesday: We had a work period to start organizing the group project assignment. On Thursday: We rocked out to some Beastie Boys "In a World Gone Mad" - well, I rocked out, the rest of you, not so much. It's FRIDAY! YAY!!!! I'm home today with my sick daughter, but your Style Analysis is due anyway! The supply teacher will be collecting them, and giving them to Mr. Chesser who will be bringing them to my house tonight. No worries, they'll get to me! You will have this period to work on your Journal assignment or the poetry presentations. I hope you have a lovely and relaxing weekend and that we all return on Monday refreshed and feeling ready to complete the final push to March Break. Thank you dearly for all your patience over the past week and half as things have been a little out of the ordinary. |
