Hi Everyone,
Another update. We've been given further information regarding the current situation with school closures. You and your families will be getting a letter home from the Bluewater District School Board. BWDSB Letter to Parents This letter contains the most up to date information regarding the closures. Worrying about any future work for this class is premature at this time. Please focus on taking care of yourselves and your family. Stay safe and healthy everyone!

Hi guys!
Just checking in to see how everyone is doing! I see a lot of you are still working away on content here. I've also heard from a few of that you're busy working or babysitting and haven't had time to complete some assignments. Well that sucks, but you fail. NOTTTTTT!!!!!! I completely understand that you are busy working or taking care of siblings or doing things to support your family during this crazy, wild, unpredictable time. It warms my heart that this is your priority. Keep it up! I encourage you all to do work if that suits you and you're looking to fill your time. Especially the reading as it can be a great distraction from our stressful reality. But, if worrying about completing assignments is causing you added stress, then do not do the work. We will figure this out once this is all over. I will not punish any of you for not being able to get all of the work complete. When/If I get an update from the Province and our School Board about how the rest of the semester will look, I will update here. I know that many of you are worried about how this will impact University acceptances etc and all that I can offer is that I really doubt that Universities will hold any of this against you. The Province cancelled the OSSLT and waved it as a graduation requirement for students graduating this year. I would assume something similar will happen with University acceptances. Again, these are uncertain times and all I really know is from what I read in the same news articles you're reading. My advice? Stay calm and try to only manage the issues of today. I have to keep reminding myself of this as well (especially as I try to teach my 4 and 6 year old their French Immersion curriculum? Je suis whhhhaaaatttttt???) !! This is a very challenging and uncertain time. My hope for you is that you are doing everything you can to care for yourself and for your family. If I can support you or you have questions or concerns, please send me an email at [email protected]. Stay healthy! Hi everyone!
I'm sure you're all following the news and know what's going as much as I do. This is obviously very new for everyone it's impossible to predict what the future will hold. With that being said, just continue to do your reading as you putter away at home. Finish the Lit Theory assignment and email it in when you do so. Hopefully things will be back to our new normal soon enough. Stay safe everyone! And remember to be kind and take care of those around you. This is new and stressful for all of us. #lifelessonswithferg This Week in ENG4U:
